Participating Institutions
Six UT Medical Schools, One Shared Project
This project, funded by the UT REAL Health AI Pilot Program, brings together six University of Texas health institutions — from the state's largest medical centers to its newest medical school. UT Southwestern serves as the coordinating hub with a production-deployed AI grading system; partner sites are progressing through site-specific onboarding.

Production indicates current MAPLES use at UTSW. Onboarding covers local approvals, agreements, data preparation, and technical planning; it does not mean that partner data are transferring or that MAPLES is deployed at that site.
UTSW
ProductionUT Southwestern Medical Center
MAPLES is in production, and UTSW is coordinating the multi-school IRB template, site-specific agreement routing, and shared technical planning.
UT Houston
OnboardingUT Health Houston — McGovern Medical School
The site reports local IRB approval. Its research agreement, first retrospective data package, and transfer authorization remain in progress.
UT Tyler
OnboardingUT Tyler School of Medicine
Existing retrospective rubric and transcript work supports onboarding. Local review, agreement routing, and the first transfer package remain in progress.
UT RGV
OnboardingUT Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine
Site-specific kickoff is complete. Local review and agreement planning continue; a data-use agreement is not yet settled. Historical-data export planning is underway. The site remains on SIMULATIONiQ; a transition to SimCapture is planned but not confirmed complete.
UT San Antonio
OnboardingUT San Antonio — Long School of Medicine
Local IRB approval and a data-use agreement are in place. The team is preparing the initial de-identified data and rubric package and its operational transfer channel.
UTMB
OnboardingUTMB Galveston — John Sealy School of Medicine
Site kickoff is complete and initial rubric work is underway. Local review, agreement routing, and the first text-based data package remain in progress.
Infrastructure
Multi-site data hosting and governance remain under evaluation. The UT Health Intelligence Platform (UT-HIP) is one potential path under technical feasibility review alongside UTSW-managed and site-specific options. A school may also run the workflow locally through OASIS, with the UTSW team helping stand that up. No final cross-site host has been selected; IRB, data-use agreement, security, and site-specific handling decisions still apply. See Participating in UT-REAL.
